Heroin Addiction

What does it mean to be a heroin addict? Well to the majority of society it basically means you are the scum of the earth. What does a drug addict look like? When your average person from society pictures a heroin addict they picture a person dressed in dirty clothes and in an alley somewhere with a needle sticking out of his arm. I am not trying to say that sometimes addicts do not look this way. I imagine that I may have looked a little scary a time or two during my using days. I have done a lot of things to get my drugs and you can bet that your individual with a lot of money has also. I am also willing to bet that they have done a lot of things they are ashamed of too.

We all do crazy things in our addiction. There are no people running around with angel wings that I know of. We all need to take a personal inventory of ourselves if we wish to stop using heroin. I like to say that heroin addiction does not particularly care where you come from be it park place or park bench. A lot of the time you really could be fooled by the well dressed addict in a business suit. Don’t be confused about this they are sick too. At one point in my addiction I dressed like your average hippie but as my disease progressed I did not care much about my appearance. Looking back I must have smelled like a piece of meat that was left out of the fridge for a couple of days.

I remember not shaving or showering for days on end. I really did not care what I looked like my main concern was finding the ways and means to get another fix even If this meant ripping you off. I did not care who I hurt along the way and I do mean either mentally or physically. It Did not matter I had to have my dope at all costs. I am writing this article to inform others that they do not have to do what I did. Let me repeat that again you do not have to do what I did. There is a way to get clean!

I like to recommend to everyone to try heroin addiction treatment. I have went to it myself. I have to tell you upfront that it saved my life. It can save yours also. Some of us can even hold down a 9 to 5 job for a while. The end is always the same though jails, institutions, and death. OK now we know what these individual scans look like but there is a way to beat heroin addiction. It is my hope that anyone who reads this article will take the necessary action to get clean today.
